The course was in excellent condition, especially the greens and the staff was very cordial. We played behind some regulars who played at a leisurely pace for nine holes. There were backups at every tee on the front 9. After they left the pace was ok, but it was still turned into a 5 hr. round.

Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

It's nice to see that Alameda can maintain an excellent municipal golf facility while San Francisco doesn't have a clue. Nice walking course (no hills); not too hard and I always meet nice people there.

Popular, good value, loyal players, draws players from a wide area. Nice people play this course. It's addictive because an average player can par any one of the holes at some time or another but very few, even the pros, can par it every time; but, in their mind they think they can.

I play this complex every weekend. For the price, it's not bad. For Two 18 hole courses owned by the city, even with tournaments, a single can get on. The Earl Fry North Course is the preferred course to play. The grass is different and the play involves more water, but offers more birdie attempts.
